One of the biggest concerns about getting boudoir done is that women worry that they are “too fat” for boudoir.
I’ll say this as plainly as possible: No, you aren’t.
Now, don’t get me wrong. If you’re on a journey and you are setting goals for yourself before you book a session, then you go, girl. You do not need to answer to anyone but yourself! Here’s a little piece of advice; book your session now, maybe a few months out for that little extra kick of motivation.
I would say weight is a concern for about 90 percent of the people who contact me to inquire about a session! So, if this is how you are feeling, you are definitely not alone.
Here’s the truth: it’s my job to make you look amazing. And it’s not as simple as putting on some sexy things and laying on a bed with a come-hither look. A boudoir session is meant to accentuate your curves and to do that, I use a combination of careful posing, great lighting and our friend, Photoshop.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to make you look plastic-y and like a Barbie doll, but I do retouch images to smooth things out and do a nip or tuck when needed. Before your session, we’ll talk about anything you don’t feel comfortable about so I can pay special attention to it, whether it’s through posing, lighting or retouching. But mostly what you are going to see is all you, looking strong, beautiful, and confident. I’ll even show you a few previews on the back of the camera so you can see exactly how amazing you look!
Look, I know you’ve probably cringed at a few photos you’ve seen of yourself. Maybe a lot of photos that you have seen of yourself. This is not that experience! I have years of experience posing and directing women’s bodies of all shapes and sizes.
Here’s another tip: this posing? It’s a workout! Go ahead and treat yourself when we are done, because you’re going to feel amazing.
