So without further ado, let’s learn some facts about this beauty!
What is your name? Dedra Lakatos (Stines is maiden and I'm taking that back)
Are you single, married, have kids, or don't have kids, or pets? Getting divorced. Spouse is John Lakatos and son is Joe Lakatos and one granddaughter, Cadence. I have two dogs, Chloe and Lil' Charlie, and one cat, Mischu.
What is your job? Do you love it or loathe it? Why? I am the supervisor for phlebotomy at a large hospital, U of M. I love my job because I like to draw blood and the supervisor role is new to me this year. I enjoy the challenges that come with being a supervisor and the extra responsibility.
What is your favorite color(s)? Red, purple, and black
What is your favorite season, and why? Please let us know what we can find you doing during these months. Fall. Think the weather is fabulous to start. Chilly in the mornings and evenings but warmer during the day. I like to be by a bonfire at night with friends in the fall. Or in the Kitchen making some comfort food from scratch like a chicken pot pie!!
It's also the season to let everything go. All that's dead and weighing you down, all the regret, let it fall away as the leaves do. Only then do we become vulnerable
What thing(s) do you do to calm yourself or get you back to being grounded? Try to find a quiet place alone for a few so I can collect my thoughts and focus on not becoming irrational or quick tempered
Are you more shy or outgoing? I was shy as a child but I feel I have become more outgoing as I have gotten older. But I can definitely still have some shy moments.
On your day(s) off what can we find you doing? Self-care. Nails, massage, tattoo, or piercing appt. Having lunch with my Mom or a girlfriend
Are you a salty or sweet treat lady? Sweets all day
What is your favorite holiday, and why? Halloween! Because you get to dress up as anyone or anything you want
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why? A tour of Europe. That way I wouldn't be limited to one place like Paris, London or Milan. Experience multiple cultures and foods in one trip.
What are your fears? Spiders, drowning, being kidnapped and tortured, burning, growing old alone, not having a sound mind
If you could give advice to fellow ladies, what would it be? NEVER give up on yourself. It's gonna be hard and things hardly ever work out the way you think they should. But you can handle anything life has for you and handle it like the bad bitch you are!!
What is your goal(s) in life? Why are those currently your goal(s)? To create a home and life for me that I can be proud of. To find a partner who challenges me to be better every day. I'm learning to put myself, my wants and needs, and my feelings first for once.
What has been the hardest lesson to learn so far in your life? Sadly, there is no such thing as never, or forever.
How would your family and friends describe you? Funny, loyal, honest, trouble, smart, quick-witted, great cook, caring, complicated, moody
Who in your life do you look up to the most? Why? Mainly myself because I choose to put the work into myself and face the hard truths head-on. But, I also admire any woman who has the courage to take that first step, no matter what it leads to.
What makes you unique? My southern accent, my laugh, the way my eyes change color depending on my mood
What do you love about doing boudoir photoshoots? It's fun and extremely empowering. The euphoria that comes with a photo shoot lasts for such a long time! It's shocking when you see yourself through the camera for the first time.
What made you decide to be a Brand Ambassador for Alter Ego Boudoir? Because I am going through a difficult time in my life. I'm doing a lot of self-work and learning some things about myself. I'm excited to see how this will help me through this transformation and how I will grow
What are you looking forward to the most from becoming a Brand Ambassador?
All the different ideas we are going to come up with for photo shoots and the actual shoots. It's a lot of work but I truly love doing it. Also, showing other women that we are all beautiful!!!
