What is your job? Do you love it or loathe it? Why?

I am a regulatory manager for a clinical research firm. I absolutely love what I do. It allows me to be a science geek and make a difference in many lives at the same time. And I couldn’t ask for a better work family. I look forward to going to work every day just to see them.

What is your favorite color(s)? If I had to choose hot pink and turquoise

What is your favorite season, and why?

SUMMER—hands down. boating, swimming, sitting outside having a cocktail and listening to some live music, shooting at the range….

What thing(s) do you do to calm yourself or get you back to being grounded? A nice warm bubble bath with a glass of wine is the ultimate reset. It’s my go-to when I am feeling overwhelmed. When that does not work, I turn to the gym to clear my head.

Are you more shy or outgoing? Although just about everyone who knows me would disagree, I am quite shy. It takes everything I have to go into a new social situation alone. however, put me in a situation where I am doing something that I love or with people that I know and I am the most outgoing one in the room.

On your day(s) off what can we find you doing? I fill my days off with shopping, family, and friends. I am always down for a little adventure. Whether it be trying a new restaurant, going to a festival, or a road trip. You name it and I am in!

Are you a salty or sweet treat lady? Sweet with a salty finish. Sea salt caramel you say? YES, please!

What is your favorite holiday, and why? I love the Christmas season and everything surrounding it. It is a time for family, fun, and shenanigans.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why? I'd love to go to Fiji. The beaches look AMAZING. I can just picture myself lying and then white sand with a fruity cocktail in hand.

What are your fears? Spiders and failure. Spiders because anything with 8 legs and that many eyes were not put on this Earth to do good! And the thought of letting others down has always been a huge fear of mine

If you could give advice to fellow ladies, what would it be? Do something every day that takes you outside of your comfort zone. You will never know exactly what you are capable of until you just do it. My photo shoot Is a perfect example. Never in my life had I thought of myself as a sexy woman. After seeing my photos I appreciate every single nook, cranny, and curve on my body

What is your goal(s) in life? Why are those currently your goal(s)? My goal in life is simple—to be happy. I realized after losing my husband and falling into a very dark place that happiness is a choice.

What has been the hardest lesson to learn so far in your life? Words can hurt very badly and they cannot be unsaid. Just hours before my husband passed away we had a conversation in which I said some not-so-friendly things. Now I have no opportunity to even apologize.

How would your family and friends describe you? Funny, caring, outgoing, straightforward, and perhaps a little abrupt. The military taught me to speak my mind and I never forgot how.

Who in your life do you look up to the most? Why? My oldest sister. She survived our somewhat rough upbringing and came out on the other side very successful. She is smart, driven, and just beautiful all the way around.

What makes you unique? My ability to connect with others and find goodness and laughter in even the most horrible situation.

What do you love about doing boudoir photoshoots? Feeling my inner vixen emerge! I have never felt more sexy and confident in my life.

What made you decide to be a Brand Ambassador for Alter Ego Boudoir? I feel like it is an opportunity to share my genuine story of how it changed my self-image. I look in my mirror every day now and see a completely different woman.

What are you looking forward to the most from becoming a Brand Ambassador?

Getting to know the other ladies and working more with Cat. And having the opportunity to maybe empower other women to embrace body positivity as a norm!
