I am getting married in 2 weeks to my best friend who always makes sure I have some fun in my life!! I have always been a career-driven, super-independent woman who strives for perfection and forgets to slow down and enjoy the good things. I am a Finance major, but currently working as an Account Manager in the auto industry...crazy, stressful, and fast-paced!! I love to wake up and clear my head with a good workout whether it is running, kickboxing, yoga, or some BeachBody routines, and I have never had a cup of coffee in my life! I have no children and do not plan to have any, but I do love fur babies! We just got a Shiba Inu puppy named Gus, he’s a stubborn fella but we love him to pieces! I live on the water, so boating every day of every weekend is our summer, during the winter we do a little hibernating and relaxing!
Before your shoot - what do you remember thinking/feeling? How was your planning? Would you do anything differently? I felt nervous and anxious. I am always very awkward in photos (smile, posture), and then trying to be sexy in front of someone whom I never met before was nerve-wracking! Was not sure how this would go! It was fun picking out outfits though!
Did you feel well prepared for your shoot? Yes
What were your feelings and emotions on the day of your shoot? Before, during, and after? Before the shoot, I was nervous, maybe even sweating a little! I wanted them to come out really nice since these are a gift to my fiancé on our wedding day, but scared I would look awkward and not natural in them, which would take away from the sexiness I was going for! What if I didn't like my hair or make-up?!
After the photoshoot, I felt like a Supermodel!!! The hair and makeup turned out great! The studio was very comfortable and not overwhelming. Cat was absolutely amazing in directing me on how to pose, relax my chin, and my face, and complimenting me which helped me feel confident. Having someone as creative as Cat helped me to relax because it relieved the pressure of me feeling like I needed to come up with ideas that may not look good on camera! Instead, I could relax and follow her advice, which helped relax my mind, which is reflected in all my pictures!! No awkward postures, woohoo!
How did you feel on the day of your reveal? Before arriving to see your photos and when you saw them for the first time? EXCITED and a bit nervous. I guess I am always nervous, it is the perfectionist in me! Mostly excited as Cat showed me some sneak peeks during the photo shoot, so I knew there were some really good ones!!
I was blown away after the video of all the photos! I looked hot in these pictures and almost cried lol! I even asked if she had to edit my lips because I could not believe how natural I looked! It was hard to even pick through which ones I did not like as they were all great! My fiancé is going to be so surprised, in shock lol!
Do you feel or think differently about yourself after your boudoir shoot? If so, how? More confident in front of the camera! Learned a few solutions to prevent my awkward posture in day-to-day photos lol!
Knowing what you know now, would you do it again? Would you have changed anything? Yes, I would definitely do this again!
What do you feel other women need to know? Confidence is key, every woman is beautiful in their own way! Being a perfectionist, I sometimes lose confidence in striving to always better myself and I think it shows in photos like I am trying too hard or something. However since I felt so beautiful and confident during this shoot, the camera was able to capture me at my best!
